The Dolcetto d'Alba is a highly approachable, versatile red wine within the Broccardo portfolio, styled for immediate enjoyment throughout a meal. Grown on south-facing, sandy-clay soils at an elevation of 350 meters in Monforte d'Alba, the 25-year-old vines yield a wine of deep intensity.
It presents a very intense red color with distinct violet reflections. On the nose, it delivers a fresh, persistent bouquet of wild currants, strawberries, cherries, and plums, underscored by a subtle note of lavender. The palate is clean, balanced, and medium-bodied, characterized by bright fruit softness, integrated acidity, and fine, light tannins. Fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel with a minimum of three months of bottle aging before release, this wine is built for optimal freshness over a four-year cellaring window. It pairs efficiently with white meats, cured charcuterie, and semi-hard cheeses.
Managed by the third generation of the winemaking family—siblings Filippo, Federica, and Laura—the estate combines traditional methods with a strong focus on SQNPI sustainable and organic practices. The wines are crafted to express the precise minerality of their native soils, sourced from prime vineyard plots located across Monforte d'Alba, Barolo, and Novello.
