The Langhe Nebbiolo Il Giò Pì is among the most important wines of the Broccardo range and goes very well with red meats and spicy dishes. It is a fresh and crunchy Nebbiolo with aromas of cranberries, pomegranates, rose hips and aromatic herbs. It is clean and medium-bodied, with bright acidity and relatively easy tannins..
The third generation of the Broccardo wine-making family, siblings Fillipo, Federica, and Laura choose to follow in the steps of their parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. The goal remains the same, which is to say they haven’t changed much of anything at all; except that there is a stronger push forward towards organic practices. The Broccardo wines strive to elegantly express the precise minerality typical of their native soils. With prime vineyard positions in Monforte d’Alba, Barolo, and Novello, the task is no chore. The grapes do the work themselves, and are simply ushered, with slight hand, from vine to cellar to bottle.
