From his boutique estate in the heart of Sancerre, he cultivates just under 10 hectares of highly prized plots stretching between Bué and Sancerre. By masterfully working the region's signature terres blanches (white clay-limestone) and caillottes (stony pebbles) soils, Crochet achieves remarkable precision. The Estate:

Domaine Daniel Crochet is a fourth-generation, family-owned winery. After completing his advanced wine studies in the Marne Valley, Daniel took the reins in 1996 to combine traditional heritage with modern precision. Deeply committed to the long-term health of his land, the estate is managed strictly according to organic farming practices. Daniel utilizes meticulous techniques like targeted row-ploughing and allowing natural grass growth to preserve soil life, naturally limiting vine yields and maximizing grape concentration.

Tasting Notes:

The nose opens with an inviting, elegant bouquet of lime zest, white peach, and elder flower, interlaced with classic hints of crushed oyster shell and fresh, wild herbs. On the palate, the wine is intensely lively and precise, bursting with vibrant flavours of crisp green apple, citrus, and a subtle note of tropical guava. Balanced on a driving beam of steely, flinty minerality, it culminates with a clean, beautifully-focused, and refreshing finish.
