v2018: 90 pts. James Suckling |
2023 Vintage | 100% Albarino
Val do Salnés is known as the birthplace of the Albariño grape. Located on the Atlantic coast, it is the original and oldest sub-region of Rías Baixas with the most area under vine. The soil is granitic and rocky with alluvial top-soil. It is also the coolest sub-region. From a biodynamic vineyard.
Intense and fresh with lovely floral aromas of pear and apple. Good depth, balanced, and a persistent finish.
90 points: James Suckling - for the last vintage (2018), and historically scores well. Covid has delayed a review, so this vintage is not-yet-rated.
