2019 Vintage | 100% Albarino
Val do Salnés is known as the birthplace of the Albariño grape. Located on the Atlantic coast, it is the original and oldest sub-region with the most area under vine. The soil is granitic and rocky with alluvial top-soil. It is also the coolest sub-region. From a biodynamic vineyard.
Intense and fresh with lovely floral aromas of pear and apple. Good depth, balanced, and a persistent finish.
James Suckling: 90 pts. for the last vintage, and historically scores well. His visit to Spain has been delayed, so this vintage is not yet rated.
