Château de Ruth stands in Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes, to the north-east of Orange in heart of the terroir of the southern Rhône Valley. The domain is one of the oldest in the Rhône Valley, its name first appeared in 1561. It was the successive property of several illustrious families (Maurice TRINTIGNANT, a famous car racer, and family BEAUHARNAIS, direct descendants of Josephine the Empress).
It is currently run by Vincent Moreau who devotes all his know-how and enthusiasm to producing quality wines from this exceptional land of red clay and river stone.
This wine is ruby-violet coloured, and has deep aromas of black cherries, red berries, plum skins, and violets. On the palate it is pure and deep, then grows in intensity and finishes with berries, minerals & licorice. The old-vine flavours are soft in texture and a real presence on the mineral-spice finish.
