CABERNET SAUVIGNON, Growers Gate, Longhorne Creek, South Australia

This little Aussie Cab is a go-to favorite for casual afternoons or evening bar-b-ques. Lifted mint, blackcurrant and ripe, dark berry flavours and supported by gentle acidity and yielding tannins. Obvious care in all facets of the winemaking shows in this lovely wine profile. 2018 vintage.

SANGIOVESE, Bocelli Family Wines, Tuscany IGT, Italy

The Bocelli family has been making wine since long before son Andrea started to croon.

Made from Tuscany’s noble varietal, the Bocelli family’s passion and expertise are on full display in this exceptionally bright, lush, and appealing Sangiovese. With grapes hand-harvested from some of the best vineyard sites in Morellino, the fruit is deliciously ripe and smoky, with notes of marasca cherry, granite, and rhubarb compote. The finish is long and suitably dry, with admirable acidity that makes the palate taut and pleasing. 2017 vintage.

PINOT NOIR, Bogle Vineyards, California, U.S.A.

Bogle winemakers have sourced fruit from the best growing regions in  California for the varietal. The terroirs of the cool Russian River Valley and coastal Monterey hills grow fruit of character and distinction. Combined, the resulting wine is an elegant, classic Pinot Noir.

Heady scents of ripe summer strawberries make a lovely first impression, while hints of crushed violets and sweet dried herbs resonate on the nose. Refined and nuanced, the mouthfeel softens as layers of cherry fruit are wrapped in a comforting blanket of pipe tobacco and worn leather. The firm, yet lingering finish is perfectly balanced with touches of baking spices, fragrant fruit and earth tones. 2017 vintage.

TINTA de TORO, 'Novellum', Crianza, Bodegas Rejadorada, Toro, Spain

Cherry red colour with ruby glints. Aromatic and complex aromas presage ripe fruit, toasted wood and hints of smoky laurel. Full-bodied palate, well-balanced tannins/acidity.  A well-integrated wine with a long and silky finish. Tempranillo with a little more ooomph than Rioja - delicious! 2016 vintage.
