2017 Vintage | 100% Sangiovese - Organic farming
Dark ruby red colour, aromas of blackberries, raspberries with a touch of liquorice and tobacco on the nose. The tannins are full, round and supple.
2017 had hard weather conditions which reduced yields by 27% to the lowest level in the last forty years. The region was hit with frosts in April, followed by a dry and hot summer with virtually no rain after May. But despite the much lower quantity, the quality of the 2017 vintage was much greater than expected, and Poggerino has managed their harvest and wine-making well.
