Rueda is located in the Castilla y Leon region in northern Spain. This high-plateau region enjoys a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers. Small family farms have been practicing sustainable farming here for centuries, though Rueda officially became a Denominacion de Origen (DO) in 1980.
Rueda's Verdejo is the top selling white wine in Spain. From a region 90 minutes NW of Madrid, Verdejo delivers incredible quality: fresh, accessible & food-friendly. Made in the classic style which showcases the bright, fresh and mineral flavours typical of this grape, this wine has been called "a textbook Verdejo" by renowned wine critic Josh Raynolds.
Aromas of Meyer lemon & green apple are accented by chalky mineral & sea salt. Dry & racy, with lively citrus, fresh fig, and a note of tarragon. A stony yet juicy finish with good length..
